About Dusan

Singer-songwriter and guitarist from Serbia, living in Vienna.

I am Dušan Veličković, known as Dusan. I write my own songs and lyrics, and I sing and play them: guitar-driven pop-rock and indie, acoustic ballads and now and then a reggae pulse.

The songs

In 2026 I released four songs, each with an official music video: “Like It’s a Law (The Diary)”, “One Night, Whole Life”, “Why Birds Fly South” and “Problemi”. The English songs are about blame, accountability and leaving. “Problemi” is in Serbian, short and stubborn, for listeners in Serbia and across the Balkan diaspora. The two acoustic songs were filmed in an underground car park, with an acoustic guitar and little else.

I write and sing everything myself. The production is a collaboration with Marko Petković from Kragujevac and Danijel Tasić from Vienna. A new single, “Devil Wears Angel’s Mask”, is on the way.

On air and in print

Billy Billmaier Rock Radio played one of my songs in its Rockballads show on two evenings in April 2026. The webzine Smashthesound reviewed “Like It’s a Law (The Diary)”, the Chilean site Rock and Wrestling featured it as a new single, and I talked about the song and about songwriting in an interview on the Matters.com Presents podcast. Everything is collected, with links, on the Press and radio page.

Live

I play my songs live, on stage and on acoustic guitar. Concerts in Germany are planned for the end of 2026 and for 2027. Dates are announced on Instagram first.

The other side

I am also a guitar nerd. On the YouTube channel Dusan Gear I test pedals, amp modelers, microphones and wireless systems with raw, unprocessed sound, and there are more than 140 videos. If you want to know how I record and what I play, that is the place: dusangear.com.
