Privacy policy
Short version: this site has no ads and no tracking cookies. It counts visits with a privacy-friendly tool that runs on this server, sets no cookies and stores no personal data. It stores what you type into the contact form, and it loads YouTube and Instagram content only if you allow it.

Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you open a page, the server temporarily processes technical data such as your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser type, to deliver the page and to keep the site secure. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a working and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after a short period by the host.
Contact form and email
If you use the contact form, I process your name, email address, the topic, the optional station or outlet name and your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual communication) or my legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)). The message is sent by email through the mail server of IONOS and stored in my mailbox. I delete it when the matter is finished, unless I must keep it longer for legal reasons. A hidden spam-protection field and a short time check are used to block bots, and your IP address may be kept briefly to limit abuse.
Comments on the blog
If you write a comment, I process the name and email address you enter, your comment, the time and your IP address. The comment and your name are shown on the post after I approve it; your email address is never shown. I use the data to publish and moderate comments and to protect the site from spam. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)). Comments are stored until you ask me to delete them. If you tick the box to save your details, WordPress sets a cookie on your device so you do not have to type them again; you can untick it. No profile pictures are loaded from other services. Cookies and local storage
This site does not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. Visit statistics come from Koko Analytics, which runs on this server only, sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses or any personal data and shares nothing with third parties. Your choice in the privacy banner is saved in your browser’s local storage, which is strictly necessary to remember your decision. Logged-in administrators receive WordPress login cookies. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
YouTube videos
Video thumbnails are stored on this server, so opening a page does not contact Google. If you allow embeds and press play, the video is loaded from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com), a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. YouTube then receives your IP address and may set cookies or read information on your device. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165(3) TKG 2021). If you do not allow embeds, a click on a video opens YouTube in a new tab.
Instagram posts
Instagram posts and reels are loaded from Instagram, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, only after you allow embeds and click a post. Meta then receives your IP address and may set cookies. Legal basis: your consent. Without consent, the cards are plain links to Instagram.
Links to other sites
Links to Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, Genius, YouTube, Instagram, press sites and other sites are ordinary links. The other site processes your data only after you click, under its own privacy policy.
Security
The site uses HTTPS. A security plugin may process IP addresses and login attempts to block attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the site.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
